The importance of associating with people who are better than you.

I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.

Warren Buffett said the following on CNBC television on May 7, 2018. "In life, it's very important to associate with people who are better than you. That is the most important choice you can make in life. People go in the same direction as the people they associate with. You get ideas from the people you associate with, you see what their actions lead to, and all that kind of stuff.”

He emphasizes that it is very important to associate with people who are better than we are. This is the foundation on which we grow, learn, and succeed, and by associating with superior people, we can gain new ideas and perspectives from them and expand our own limits.

1) Influencing Environment

People tend to go in the same direction as the people with whom they associate. The actions and attitudes of those around us have a profound influence on our values and goals. Therefore, associating with positive and successful people is a factor that promotes our own growth.

2) Opportunities to learn and grow

Receiving ideas from the people we associate with and observing what results from their actions is a valuable learning opportunity. By understanding the behavior patterns and thought processes of successful people, we can review and improve our own behavior.
