Hope for Tomorrow

I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.

The phrase “Even if the world perishes tomorrow, I will plant an apple tree” is attributed to the 16th century religious reformer Martin Luther, who emphasized the importance of taking action toward the future, even in desperate circumstances.

The act of planting an apple tree is an investment in the future and a symbol of hope. Even if the future is uncertain, even if tomorrow never comes, it suggests that actions taken today may affect the future.

This is a great encouragement to today's managers and a guideline for maintaining hope and steady efforts in daily management.

1) Have hope for the future.

2) Be willing to make daily efforts.

3) Focus on the “here and now,” not the future or the past.

4) Have a long-term vision (sustainable growth)

Neither management nor life is always a smooth road. The more difficult the situation, the more we should keep hope alive and continue to believe that our daily actions will lead us to the future.
