I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
On September 14, relatives gathered at Yomogihira Onsen, a hot spring resort deep in the Echigo Nagaoka area, for a luncheon in memory of my father, who passed away three years ago, and my mother, who passed away four years ago.
It was a good opportunity not only to remember the deceased and keep them in our hearts, but also for those of us who are still alive to stop and reflect on our own way of life and to deepen our bonds with our families and relatives.
Although it may seem that we live by our own strength , in reality, we are sustained and exist through the support of others.
At our company, we announce the birthdays of the month during the monthly general morning meeting, and we repeatedly remind them that their birthday is not only a day to celebrate themselves, but also a day to thank those who gave birth to them and those who have laid the foundation of our company.
Having a starting point to which we can return, being grateful to those who have gone before us, and cherishing our relationships are common “secrets to success” in both life and management.
