I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
Early in the New Year, many people lost their lives or suffered damage from the Noto Peninsula earthquake. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to those who were affected by the earthquake.
Nagaoka City in Niigata Prefecture was also hit by a tremor of intensity 6.
Fortunately, however, no major human or material damage has been confirmed so far, and we will start on January 5 as scheduled.
The earthquake made me decide to make "communicating" my first priority in 2024.
As a small business owner, I am committed to the survival and development of my company. To achieve this, it is essential to meet the needs of society and our customers. However, it is not enough. I have realized once again that it is important to "communicate" to employees and other stakeholders the vision and thoughts of the management about what the company is aiming for and what it exists for, and I also believe that this is the "planting of seeds" for the next generation that the management should do.
I believe that understanding and empathy will deepen through communication, trust and support will increase through communication, and identity and loyalty will be strengthened through communication.
The content I want to convey is not something new, but my thoughts that I have already expressed in my "100-year vision" and "vision map.
To be a comfortable and secure place for our employees and stakeholders. We also want to be a reliable partner for our customers. And to continue to be an indispensable presence in society.
The year 2024 will be a year of great challenges for me, for our company, and for Japanese society as a whole. However, I will not give up on "communicating" and will continue to work positively.
