Win with your "best pattern"!

I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.

On Sunday, December 3, I went to DENKA Big Swan Stadium to watch Albirex Niigata's final game. It was raining and windy, but the game was hotly contested, and Albirex Niigata won the final game 1-0.

The only goal of the match came from a brilliant passing game with all 11 players and 15 passes. It was "the culmination of Albi's season! Thank you very much for your great impression!

There are three things that this match made me think about.

1) Importance of Teamwork

Albirex's goal was the result of collaboration with teammates, but instead of trying to break through alone, the team passed the ball around to find an opening in the opponent. Even in business management, teamwork is necessary, not just individual strength. It is important to trust each other, cooperate, and work toward a common goal.

2) Playing to one's strengths

Albirex stuck to their own style and broke down their opponents' defenses with ball-turning and precise passing. Knowing your strengths and making the most of them will give you a competitive edge.

Needless to say, it is also important to identify and capitalize on your strengths in corporate management. By developing your strengths and differentiating yourself from other companies, you can secure an edge in the marketplace.

3) Flexibility and creativity

Albirex not only stuck to their own "mold," but also flexibly responded to the moves of their opponents. They also surprised their opponents with unexpected plays. In business management, too, it is necessary not only to stick to one's own mold, but also to respond to changes in the environment and to satisfy customers' needs with creative ideas.

Many of you may have been impressed by Albirex Niigata's victory at the end of 2023, and by the goal that was the culmination of the season. Expecting more success next season, let us also rediscover our own "mold" to make it a great year.
