I am Yoshida, president of Yamada Shusei Ltd., a professional apparel garment repair group in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
The Create Division started up in October. Through this experience, we are in the process of realizing that change starts with one person.
It all started in September when I attended a company introduction event held by Public Employment Security Office Hello Work for specific job seekers. On that day, a total of three companies gave a 5-minute presentation about their companies to about 30 job seekers, and afterwards, job seekers were given booths where they could drop by the companies they were interested in.
I presented the following points to the job seekers, along with my own thoughts.
1) Yamada Shusei is also in a transitional period of change while taking advantage of the good things that have been done up to now.
2) Yamada Shusei is looking for a partner to challenge together to deliver more "value" to society.
I was told by Public Employment Security Office Hello Work representative that the similar project the day before would end soon, as there was not a single job seeker who stopped by the booth. In fact, two people were interested and stopped by, which made me very happy.
Later that day, one of them actually joined the company. Thanks to her, we have connected with new customers, and our new challenge is taking shape very quickly.
In addition to sample sewing, we are now able to realize participatory planning and the production and sale of goods to make the café laundry business a more attractive place to live. We are thrilled to realize that we are finally moving forward from "Restoration" to "Creation”.
